Mini Makeup Haul!!!!!

Hello Ladies!  From time to time, I will be doing hauls for you guys to share some products that I am loving!  Recently I made an Avon order and when my item arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cosmetics.  Usually, Avon is not my go-to cosmetics line but I may have to rethink my feelings and reach for that Avon order book more in the future.

So, lets get started...

This stunning shade can be best described as a subtle baby pink.  The official name is Posy Pink Petite Nude # U5 from Avon.  In my opinion, this shade would be exceptional on any skin tone which makes it one of my favs!  I adore colors that compliment a wide variety of women and especially those of color, like myself.
Next, we have a very deceptive shade of pink.  Initially, when ordering this lipstick I thought it would come off differently on the lips.  Ladies, unlike the picture, this shade is HOT pink and I loveeeeee that.  When I applied the color I wanted to melt immediately because I was so surprised by the amazing color and texture of this product.  The texture is mousse creme and hella sexy ladies.  Peep the fierceness on my lips below:

Ahhhh J'adore :-)

Lastly, I scored this amazing blush from Avon as well called Blushing Mauve in number M301.  Now this blush is perfect for giving the cheeks a slight flush of color and is lovely as well on any skin tone!  It is a soft rosy pink and comes in a pigment form.  See below:

Bottom Line:

For all you ladies that have seen Avon catalogs and have overlooked their products, I would advise you to take a second and third look at their cosmetics.  These colors are flattering on any woman and when applied, gives the wearer this sexy feeling (at least it did for me).  I give these Avon products a staggering 5 stars!!!!!!

Peace and love ladies xoxoxo

BH Cosmetics 88 Shimmer Palette Review

Hello Ladies!  Today's review will be on the 88 Color Palette, Standard Shimmer Eyeshadow by BH Cosmetics.

Let me begin by saying that this Palette is to die for!!!!! I have had this palette now for about two weeks and I LOVE IT.  The ordering process from the website was simple and self-explanatory.  The shipping time was speedy (2-3 days) and the product arrived as advertised and all for just twenty dollars plus shipping!

Yes Girlies 20 DOLLARS ONLY.  *slightly faints*

For those makeup lovers (like myself) hoping to get a killer amount of product from this line, BH Cosmetics offers free shipping for orders over fifty dollars.

Now for the Nitty Gritty..........

I know.....just lovely *sigh*.  Upon opening your Palette, you will see 88 Fabulous Shimmer Colors.  The palette ranges from left to right starting with your neutrals, into your greens, into your blues, then pinks, into your reds, browns and finally black (since black is one range, the palette has ONE black).

Included in the palette are two eyeshadow applicators and a handy mirror.

As you can see these colors are highly pigmented which means that the color you see will be the exact color you get on your lid.  Ingenious!!!!  Just so you ladies can see how fabulous the pigmentation on these colors are, I have included a picture of a look I created with this palette below....

Ok Girlies, bottom line.....amazing product, amazing price and quality service!  I give the 88 Color Palette, Standard Shimmer Eyeshadow by BH Cosmetics Five Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purple Smokey Quickie ;-)

Hello Girlies!!!  This is going to be a post about a look that I created this morning as I was preparing for work (very serious stuff).  I have named it a Quickie Purple Smokey Eye because it took me literally 10 minutes to complete from start to finish.  My later looks will be documented step by step with pictures of each product, but I really wanted to share this one now even though I have not done a step by step tutorial on it for this blog.

So as you can see it looks like a smokey eye with just a slight purple hue.  I wanted to do a smokey eye with a slight twist and I thought purple would be the absolute bestest color to achieve that.  The purple I used for this look came from the BH Cosmetics 88 Shimmer Palette.  I will be doing a review of this palette very soon, but let me just say that I love love love it!!!!

I wanted to show that even a really smoked out eye, if done tastefully, can be appropriate for work.  In the crease of my lids I used the blackest black from the  BH Cosmetics 88 Shimmer Palette, basically blending it into the purple and over my brow bone to achieve the smikey aspect of the look.  As a highlight (below my eyebrow) I used the third gold from the bottom of the same palette.

And finally....the overall look!!!!  I paired my smokey eye with a Revlon shade that is one of my absolute favs called Berry Haute.  Love that shade to pieces ladies!  Closeup of this shade on the lips below:
Ok Lovies, that wraps up this post.  I hope it was helpful or at least entertaining :-).

Peace and Love.......

Beauty Defined?

Hey Beauties!  An article was shown to me today from BlissTree.com (illustrating the picture below of plus sized model, Katie Halchishick) that made me wonder what beauty really is.  In society, there are many standards of beauty that create "boxes" for us as women to fit into; fat, skinny, thin, average, ugly, cute, hot etc.  These "boxes" drive us to unhealthy and sometimes obsessive extremes to achieve the perfect social image of beauty.

In my opinion, this woman's body is beautiful!  The lines drawn all over her show where society would prefer her proportions to be.

*RANT ALERT*

Now, let me be straight up and say that this pisses me off!  Why exactly does anyone's waistline have to be the size of a toddlers for them to be considered beautiful or sexy or desirable???  Are we so far gone that we constantly buy into the propaganda of thinner is better???  WHAT ABOUT BEING HEALTHY???!!!!

*END OF RANT*

Sorry guys, I get really offended when a beautiful woman is subjected to unnecessary critique because her curves prevent her from squeezing into society's "boxes".  To me,  beauty must radiate from the spirit and the soul.  Being sexy to me means being confident and true to self.  How can we expect our men to love or desire us when we can't stomach our own reflections?  I am a firm believer of the phrase, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" because beauty can be so many different things to so many different people.  Beauty comes in black, white, short, tall, plump or petit.  Beauty can be found in EVERYONE!

Don't get me wrong, because for HEALTH reasons such as obesity etc women may need to shed some extra pounds but let us remember that HEALTH is key and not IMAGE.

Peace and Love Girlies.....

Getting to know Me

Hello Everyone!  I thought since this was my first "official" post (insert screams of excitement), a baby picture of myself would be appropriate.  The picture above was taken of me when I was 3 or four years old and as you can see, I have been the same diva since birth *laughs*.

My mom thought that it would be funny to post this picture of me on Facebook yesterday and tag me in it.  This meant that EVERYONE in my friends list would get an eyefull of baby me.  Yes, I know what your thinking....embarrassing!!!!!  Well, not really, because you see, I am uber proud of my childhood swagger (yes, I said swagger)!  This picture speaks volumes about me even now and I would even say that I have developed this childhood swagger into an adult way of life (very serious stuff).

Anyhoo, I digress.  After tagging me in this photo, the comments ensued.  Apparently, all these years, my friends were seeking an answer to what made me the way I am and this picture seemed to clarify things quite a bit for them lol.  I received phone calls like, "oh now I understand" and "you havent really changed much".  So by posting this photo, I hope I have given you an insight (which it seemed my friends lacked) into who I am and what I am about.....CONFIDENCE, SELF LOVE, SWAG AND RESPECT!!!!!

Peace and love ya'll......
